20 ounces baking chips (vanilla)
14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
1/2 teaspoons peppermint extract
1 1/2 cups candy canes (crushed)
1 dash green food coloring (or red)
SIFT flour, baking powder and cream of tartar. Cream butter in large bowl, gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add dry ingredients, alternately with milk, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla. Beat egg whites until stiff. Fold into cake mixture.
